Learn more about Addison:

What do you do at OrthoManhattan?

I am the Physician Assistant to Dr. Alton Barron, one of the orthopedic hand/elbow/shoulder specialists at OrthoManhattan. As a PA, I work in collaboration with Dr. Barron to diagnose and treat various musculoskeletal conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans. I also assist him in the operating room, provide patient education, and help manage post-operative care.

What drew you to OrthoManhattan?

While in PA school, I completed my elective rotation with Dr. Adam Cohen. I was honored to spend a month with some of the top orthopedic surgeons in New York City and knew I wanted to come work at OrthoManhattan if given the opportunity! I knew this practice would provide me with the skills and learning experiences to excel as an orthopedic physician assistant.

What would you like every patient to know about OrthoManhattan?

At OrthoManhattan, our staff operates like one big family, and we strive to make our patients feel like a valued part of that family as well. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care that extends beyond treatment, ensuring you feel supported and informed throughout your entire journey with us. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with a focus on the latest advancements in orthopedic treatments. Whether you’re dealing with a sports injury, joint pain, or a complex orthopedic condition, our team of skilled specialists works together to create personalized treatment plans that prioritize your health, recovery, and quality of life.

What is your favorite part of your workday?

My favorite part of the workday is interacting with patients and seeing their progress firsthand. Whether it’s watching someone recover after surgery or helping them manage a chronic condition, being part of their journey to better health and seeing their lives improve is incredibly rewarding. My second favorite part is spending time in the operating room listening to Dr. Barron’s playlist.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I love exploring New York City and all the incredible sights it has to offer. From taking long runs through Central Park to discovering new neighborhoods, I enjoy roaming around the city and finding hidden gems. I love how there is always something new and exciting going on.

What is your favorite thing about being in New York?

This may be a cliché answer, but I LOVE the food scene in this city. There’s an endless variety of cuisines and hole-in-the-wall restaurants around every corner. I love following the latest restaurant openings.
